The veneer process

Consultation

The first step in the process of getting veneers is a consultation with one of our doctors. We’ll take x-rays and impressions of your teeth in order to create custom veneers for your mouth. During this time we’ll also go over exactly what your desired smile will look like, discussing things like the shape and color of your veneers.

Veneer Prep

Next, we’ll show you your anticipated results in a series of images called “mock-ups.” This step is very important so that we ensure each patient achieves the exact results they’re looking for. The day of your veneer procedure, the dentist will remove a small amount of enamel from your teeth to create room for your veneers to be placed.

Veneer Placement

A set of temporary veneers is put in place first while our lab creates your permanent set. When the permanent veneers arrive, we’ll cement the veneers to your existing teeth with a special light that secures them in place. At this point, it only takes a matter of minutes for your new veneers to be properly bonded to your teeth.
